There are supplements for healthy skin, nails and hair. You will find all kinds of supplements for different purposes.

There are other types of treatments that fall under the category of holistic medicine. Aromatherapy is one such treatment that is used all the time, even by those who aren't fully aware of the benefits. Studies have shown that certain scents can have an effect on mood. For example, peppermint and jasmine are two scents used to increase productivity, while lavender and chamomile are used in all kinds of products for their calming properties. Citrus scents are thought to lift the mood and encourage cheerfulness.

If this is a bit too alternative, consider something like massage, which can alleviate a variety of symptoms. Yet another type of alternative holistic medicine is homeopathic medicine. There are all kinds of homeopathic medicines and blends in health food stores and supermarkets. Homeopathic medicine has been shown to be safe and well tolerated, and many people claim that it is effective. With so many choices when it comes to alternative medicine, it is wise to research your options before making a decision on what kind of treatment is right for you.
