These days there are all kinds of alternative herbal medicine choices on the market for all kinds of different problems. Herbal alternative medicine is gaining in popularity because a lot of people would rather try something they can find at the health food store or supermarket as opposed to a pharmaceutical. Consumers like the idea of taking natural supplements as well. There are a wide variety of books on alternative herbal medicine in bookstores and libraries. Some may even focus on healing with diet and using fresh or dried herbs as supplements. You can also find a plethora of data about herbs on the Internet. When it comes to trying your first herbal supplement with the approval of your doctor, there are three main types to choose from. Tinctures are usually alcohol based and used in drops, capsules are of course swallowed then there are herbal teas that may provide some kind of therapeutic benefit as well. If you are someone who wants to get your education in this field, there are a variety of complementary alternative medicine classes and holistic schools to consider.
